Hillel of Dallas serves as the foundation of Jewish campus life for undergraduate students, graduate students and recent graduates in the Dallas area. By hosting a wide variety of Jewish social, cultural, educational and religious programs, Hillel of Dallas brings together young people from SMU and other local campuses throughout the community.
During the fall and spring semesters, we host many Shabbat dinners, social events, holiday celebrations, classes and discussions on a wide variety of topics. Events such as Shabbat dinners and Sushi in the Sukkah often attract about 40-50 members. Others, such as our five session classes, are smaller and allow for even more interaction.
Under the leadership of our Director, Rabbi Heidi Coretz, our student board and our advisory board, Hillel of Dallas is a thriving organization. Our facebook group, Hillel of Dallas, currently has over 300 members. Please take a moment to join our facebook group so that you won't miss out on invitations to events and other important information.
Hillel of Dallas also serves as a bridge between the local Jewish community and the college students. Along with the support of The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, and our local synagogues, Hillel of Dallas is an active partner in the Dallas Jewish community. Our students are invited to attend many community events as well as holiday and Shabbat worship services at local temples, shuls, and synagogues.
All of our events are warm and welcoming. We have wonderful members who care about one another and socialize outside of Hillel programming. This is a place to find and keep Jewish friends for a lifetime. Please join us for an upcoming event to find out more about why you need to make Hillel of Dallas an important part of your life.
